We Are Upfront About This

DogAgeTool.org is free to use. No paywalls. No subscriptions. No "premium features" locked behind a credit card. But we do have bills to pay — server costs, domain fees, and the occasional veterinary bill for our own dogs. Here is exactly how we cover those costs.

1. Display Advertising

We run display ads through Google AdSense. You will see ad slots on our homepage, blog pages, and tool pages. These are marked clearly with "Advertisement" labels. We do not control which specific ads Google shows you — that is based on Google's algorithm and your browsing history.

If you see an ad for something completely unrelated to dogs, that is not our fault. If you see an ad for something sketchy, let us know and we will block that advertiser.

2. Affiliate Links

Some of our blog posts and guides contain affiliate links to pet products on Amazon, Chewy, or other retailers. Here is how it works:

• We recommend a product (dog food, supplements, toys, etc.)
• The link contains a tracking code that tells the retailer we sent you
• If you click the link and make a purchase within a certain time window, we earn a small commission
• It costs you absolutely nothing extra

We only recommend products we have actually researched, tested, or would use with our own dogs. We do not recommend garbage just to earn a commission. That would be terrible and also our dogs would judge us.

3. Sponsored Content

We do not currently do sponsored posts or paid reviews. If we ever do, we will label them clearly as "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership" and disclose the sponsor at the top of the article. We have not done this yet, but if we do, you will know immediately.

4. What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your data to advertisers
• We do not accept money to write positive reviews of bad products
• We do not let advertisers influence our calculator methodology or health recommendations
• We do not have "native advertising" disguised as regular content

5. How to Support Us (Without Spending Money)

If you want to support DogAgeTool without buying anything, here are free ways to help:

• Share our calculator with other dog owners
• Link to our articles from your blog or social media
• Email us feedback so we can keep improving
• Just use the tools. Traffic helps us negotiate better ad rates.
