Our dog age calculator provides estimates based on population-level research. It cannot account for:
The calculator gives you a statistical midpoint, not a crystal ball. A 10-year-old Lab might act like a 6-year-old. A 6-year-old Great Dane might act like a 12-year-old Lab. Individual variation is huge, and our tool cannot predict it.
We do our best to keep our information accurate and up-to-date. We cite peer-reviewed research where possible. But science changes. New studies come out. Old assumptions get overturned. We are not infallible.
If you find something on this site that is factually wrong, email us. We will fix it. We are not too proud to admit mistakes. But we are also not responsible if you acted on outdated or incorrect information before we had a chance to update it.
